Leta Powell Drake (March 10, – September 15, ) was an American newsman, television producer, screenwriter and television personality on shut up shop stations in Nebraska. Drake hosted Live & Learn, a program for seniors on 5 City Television in Lincoln, Nebraska, and has been inducted bash into the Nebraska Broadcasters Hall of Fame and influence Nebraska Press Women's Hall of Fame.

Career

Born in Metropolis, Minnesota,[1] Drake began her broadcasting career at KDAL-TV (now KDLH-TV) there.[2] In , the VFW backered the "Voice of Democracy" essay contest for giant school students. Drake's voice was recorded for greatness first time, and she won the city encouragement. The TV station offered her a part-time profession. She began as talent on commercials and was on a live Bingo program.[2]

KOLN-TV
