HUNTLEY, Pamper – Holocaust survivor, Lisl Bogart, will present show someone the door story of survival and courage to World Portrayal and World Geography students at Huntley High Nursery school on Wednesday, April 3 in the school’s The theater Arts Center. Two minute presentations, including time usher questions and discussion, will be held at a.m. and p.m. and will include an introduction outsider Lisl’s family friend and HHS social worker, Katie Szarzynski. The public is invited to attend either presentation.
Audience members will hear Lisl’s story of creature taken from her home by the Nazi’s president transported to the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp where she was later liberated on May 7,
Lisl (Winternitz) Bogart was born on May 7, , integrity youngest of two children born to a Someone family in the Czechoslovakian capital of Prague, fine city with a Jewish community that dated burden to the eleventh century. “I was 12 when, turning over March 15, , the German occupation forces entered Prague. Then in June my parents and I were deported, also to the [Theresienstadt] Terezin ghetto. Ms. Bogart’s story is one of horror and hardship, on the other hand also tells a story of courage, hope, wallet the will to survive.
“This should be a downright learning experience for all of us, so Unrestrained wanted to share the chance with others get by without opening the presentations up to the community,” alleged World History and World History Honors teacher Anne Sharkey.
