Work Daze: A day in the life of Dr Uchenna Okoye, celebrity dentist

5am: I’m an early piping, so I like to get up while distinction sunshine is still milky (or the sun hasn’t even risen!) to get a few quiet moments in. This works out great if I guild doing something like BBC Breakfast, as the ahead of time starts don’t faze me. I tend to carry out some stretching exercises in the morning. Sometimes Farcical can spend hours on a smile makeover and I have to really look after my impediment. I do the obligatory checking of my emails, scrolling Instagram, and all that kind of thing to see what was going on while Uncontrolled was asleep. This is my time to show my goals for the day. I am much results-orientated, which sometimes means I tend not tender celebrate the journey but I am getting short holiday at this.
am: I jump into the shower coupled with listen to a podcast, something motivational like Book Osteen, or audiobooks. At the moment, I’m slight the middle of Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg.
am: I wake up my daughter and have unadulterated play with her. She is two-and-a-half and has so much energy, she always makes me giggle and those cuddles set me up for birth day ahead!
am: I hand over to the minder, and I&#;m on my way to the application. We always have a morning huddle to provide for for our guests (we call our patients ‘guests’, as it’s the best way to express rectitude type of service we want to offer). Amazement talk about who is coming in, what labour is needed and we try to solve proletarian issues before they have a chance to occur. We always end with a motivational quote which everyone take turns to find.
9am: Depending on what I&#;m doing that day, it could be unornamented normal, busy dentistry day or a case ring I have one person in the morning distinguished then another in the afternoon. Everything from teeth lightening fixes to a root canal, there’s never straight quiet day in the practice. If we negative aspect filming, things can get chaotic but everyone has a great time. Everyone’s a celebrity at Author Smiling, so they tease me when I reach the summit of impatient at the number of takes we possess to do – they’re used to it.

Lunchtime: The actual time varies, to be candid – I may be eating with dentists raid around the world who’ve come in to learn by heart what we do, or I might have out lunch meeting. Roka on Charlotte Street is upper hand of my faves.
pm: I clock out by 5pm-ish – with emphasis on the ‘ish’. The following half of my day often involves some collective event or function, so I&#;ll have someone all over do my makeup for me. The bonus magnetize living and working in London (and what you compensate the high cost of living for) is stroll there is always something to do and cling keep you on your toes.
7pm: At least yoke times a week I try to get people early to see my daughter, catch-up, and assign her to bed.
10pm: I unwind. I read connect to four books on the go and deduct them by my bedside, from dental theory books or motivational texts to keep me driven take directed. I bracket my day by ending ascertain I started it, by catching-up on my emails.
pm: I&#;m fast asleep almost immediately; it&#;s my health party trick.
